As a member of the Steely team, you will be at the forefront of product development, engaging in hands-on work that shapes meaningful solutions. We cater to a diverse clientele, including both government and commercial customers. Our primary mission centers in fortifying VSAT networks and creating custom enterprise software. 

    

Successful candidates must be able to hold and maintain a security clearance. Therefore, U.S. citizenship is required. 

Responsibilities

  • Primary contact for compliance related activities to include Affirmative Action / EEO-1 / VETS100 reporting, benefits annual reporting, audits and maintenance of required state benefits plans. Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in HR legislation.
  • Manage employee benefit communications and provide assistance with all benefits, including 401(k). May include coordination with benefits broker and carrier to resolve enrollment or claims issues and assisting with Annual Open Enrollment activities.
  • Assist with the organization's performance management process to include training, tracking and assisting with quarterly and annual process.
  • Manage employee data in HRIS and Payroll systems while ensuring data integrity and maintenance. Run reports routinely or as necessary to submit to HR Director and managers.
  • Assist with implementation or upgrading of new HR system or modules as needed (i.e. performance management, recruiting, on-boarding, LMS).
  • Conduct on-boarding and exit activities for employees and track feedback for future action.
  • Implement organization wide process improvements to maximize efficiency while continuing company culture of one-on-one, personalized service to managers.
  • Communicate policies to all staff and provide counsel/interpretation as needed to employees and managers.
  • Advise and coach managers on employee relations issues, including performance and disciplinary actions; coach/mentor new managers and work with HR Director on legally complex issues.
  • Help communicate and promote HR programs within the organization.
  • Track employee training programs, including registration, maintaining records, and helping to implement specialized programs as needed.
  • Performs other assignments as directed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of senior level Human Resources management experience.
  • Must have strong experience with employee relations and employer coaching/development.
  • Must have experience with COTS payroll/HRIS systems and compliance/regulatory reporting.
  • Strong experience in benefits management, to include managing Disability leave and FMLA.
  • Excellent organization, writing, and strong verbal communication
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
